Prior to contact First Nations relied on “Runners” for communication between tribes. Their responsibilities included warning the camp of possible intruders and gathering warriors for impending war or buffalo hunts. This site will introduce you to the “Runners” of the 21st Century.
Rodger W. Ross is a Metis/Cree member of George Gordon First Nation of Saskatchewan. He is an award winning Multi-media Producer, Director and Writer who has worked in the Film and Video industry for over 30 years.
Rodger added facilitation to his portfolio after spending 9 years with the First Nations University of Canada’s Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Program.
Mr. Ross is also an established and recognized First Nation Traditional Storyteller who is passionate about preserving the Oral Traditions of his people.
